Monday – Even Better

Today was a very good day for Mom. The doctors saw great improvement. At noon she was given clear liquids then again at 6:00PM. She said the doctor asked if she ate her food and she said she tasted it (didn’t like it) and he told her, “It’s hospital food. It isn’t good but you need to eat!” LOL

Linn and I both worked today. She got to the hospital for the late afternoon and I was there for the evening. We chatted, walked, watched Dr. Phil! She’s doing extremely well.

Then at 7:45 a complete meal with REAL food was brought in… grilled chicken, baked potato, pudding, the works! We were so shocked that I went and asked the nurse to make sure it wasn’t a mistake that could kill her! LOL The nurse said the doctor had reordered a meal for her! SO… first real food since Wednesday evening. She was grateful and ate a fair amount. I ate the chocolate pudding and the milk! 🙂 Surprised? No comment!

Although all is going well she’s just not “into” having outside company.
