Doing very well

Mom is doing tremendously well. It’s hard to believe that surgery was only 16 days ago and that she has already been home more than a week! Linn and I talk to her everyday and Linn has been over several times. I finally made it over on my day off yesterday (Rodeo Day).

Yes, Rodeo Day! In my school district the Rodeo has been a significant tradition since 1944! When Presidents’ Day was created a short time ago (1971) the small community of Osceola County with its tiny towns of Kissimmee and St. Cloud continued it’s already 27 year old tradition of Rodeo Day.

It was a beautiful sunny day with the temperature in the high 70’s. Mom and I took a walk to the mailbox station down the block and then spent some time visiting on her porch on this lovely day.
