SE Asia Day 8 – Wednesday, 5 February 2014
Up and at ’em for our flight to Chiang Mai. Buddy’s friend Soup took us in his very nice limo van. The 360 mile flight only took about 50 minutes. Great flight on AirAsia from Don Mueang Airport in BKK.
Caught taxi to Club One Seven Gay Guest House. This is two 130 year old Teak Houses. They were nice two story buildings in a lush landscape. We soon discovered that our second floor rooms had paper thin walls. 🙁 We quickly realized we could carry on a conversation through the walls with each other. Pretty rooms but very dark with all dark wood walls, floors and ceiling. Hung out at the hotel and had Thai dinner there. Thursday was going to be a big day with our great adventure to Maetang Elephant Camp.
