Birthday Week #65
6 August 2016 – Birthday Week
Saturday…
I started celebrating my birthday week with Mom, Linn, and John at Boston’s Fish House in Winter Park. It’s a favorite of all of ours. I can’t believe how many times we have family gatherings and even though there are at least four good cameras in our pockets, we forget to take any pix! OYYY! I’m going to dig out one from last year (same place) and stick it in here! LOL I guess we enjoyed the meal and company so much we forgot!!
Monday, the 8th
was my Birthday. Michael, my roommate, took me to Keke’s for brunch! 🙂 I hung out at home that evening because plans were to celebrate later in the week.
Wednesday…
it was time to celebrate with old friends. Graeme and Elaine arrived from England and former colleagues Betty and Bev came up from St. Cloud. We went to Hamburger Mary’s downtown
where we had a great dinner and played Trivia. We played several rounds of ten questions and I think the most we ever got right was FOUR! LOL We laughed a lot because quite a few questions were about pop culture from the 1990’s and 2000’s. We really laughed when in a later game there was a question about a 1950’s Broadway play with the town of Dog Patch and I knew immediately that it was “L’il Abner.” It turned out that we were the only team that got it right! ROFL The funnier part is that I never liked that comic strip but do remember the characters. 🙂
Thursday evening…
I met up with Graeme and Elaine again at Millenia Mall where we had dinner at Cheesecake Factory. It’s funny because we hadn’t seen each other in maybe eight years and we’ve now seen each other on both sides of the pond this summer! I was just at their house in SE England the end of June.
