Bangkok, City of Angels…the original! :-)

Getting my SIM card for my phone and data then meeting Wat for dinner and maybe a movie. Wanted to see Wonder Woman but it only showed at 2:30 and that was two hrs ago. Kinda odd.

23 June 2017 – Friday

Some are wondering where pix are and what’s going on here? I’m hanging out, relaxing and enjoying my time here. No “sight seeing” yet. This is my fourth time here so not in any particular rush. Was at the pool for a bit yesterday. The water was so nice. I was the only one there. This place is very quiet. The weather was great with temps in the low 90’s and a nice breeze. Took the BTS/Sky Train to the mall then had dinner there with my friend, Wat. Got back to the condo about 8:00 and caught up on old times and watched TV.

 

 

We had an adventuresome Japanese meal tonight! Tasty! Duck, tofu, pork, seaweed roll, white ear mushroom, squid, shrimp, corn, green noodles, and a bunch of other stuff! LOL ? All but the duck and noodle was cooked in water at the table by us. It was great with the induction “burners.”

After dinner we went to Tops Supermarket to get some groceries for the condo. The condo has a small kitchen with two burner induction cooktop, a microwave, electric tea kettle and full size fridge. The place is about 500 sq feet with one bedroom on the seventh floor of eight. It was only about 100 meters from 7-11 which also had 2-3 street food vendors in the parking lot. The BTS/Sky Train is less than a ten minute walk or a motorbike taxi that cost 10 Baht / $.30 . The condo also has a Tuk Tuk Shuttle that runs to the train. It wasn’t in the hubbub tourist district of Silom in Bangkok where I stayed on my previous trips but was still a great location and superior price at less than $30/night!
