Great News!

About an hour ago, the on-call doctor came in to examine Mom and said that the biopsy did confirm that the tumor was cancerous BUT that it had not spread to any other part of the body! We are grateful to EVERYONE for your prayers and uplifting thoughts for Mom. We are most thankful to God for hearing them and continuing the healing process.

Other exciting news… He told the nurse to begin stepping down the IV medications to transition her to going home.

The nurse came in a few minutes ago saying, “The doctor told us we need to get you ready to go home.”

My immediate expression was, “Today?!?” She then explained the stepdown process with the meds.

We were both watching the original version of the movie Hairspray but the nurse wanted Mom to use her PCA (pain control administration) button again before they remove it. They are transitioning to oral meds. The PCA knocked her out again for now so the movie is on pause! LOL
