Countdown to Alaska

20 August 2016 – Saturday

Leaving a week from today for my next great adventure… North to Alaska ! I haven’t begun to pack but I’ve got my excursions all booked and still time for more fun! Anxious to do some whale watching, seeing the Mendenhall Glacier, taking a Yukon Train, traveling the Klondike Highway a bit, learning more about Alaskan tribes, watching some lumberjacks, and who knows what else?!

I fly to Seattle Saturday morning early enough to enjoy the day there then party with newfound friends on Saturday night. We set sail on Sunday afternoon on the inside passage for Juneau which we won’t see until Tuesday. I’ll be taking lots of pix and video… hoping to write and post some pix while in port. It’s kind of funny… most of these cruises seem to do the inside passage which is definitely Alaska but looks more like Far West Canada. :-p
